Tiffany Reisz is quite a prolific erotic fiction writer, with a whole sea of novels, novellas, and short stories to her name. Whatever kinky fiction desires you might have, you'll probably find something among her work to tickle your reading taste buds. But if you have no idea where to start, I recommend both The Original Sinners series and The Godwicks series.
The Red, which is the first book in The Godwick series, won the NPR Best Book of the Year in 2017 and is filthy kinky fiction writing that's sure to tick your lusty D/s desires. Would you sell yourself to a man for a year to honor the pledge you made your Mother on her deathbed?
Anne Rice is probably best known for penning The Vampire Chronicles series including Interview with a Vampire. Not read it? Well, you should. The book has some erotic and kinky themes and is often cited as one of the inspirations behind some of the popular vampire series of the last ten years.
However, the real reason for including Anne Rice on this list is not vampires but her sexually charged retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Rice originally wrote the first three books in the Sleeping Beauty Quartet under a different name, A. N. Roquelaure, mainly as she wanted total creative freedom to explore writing erotic fiction. It worked, and the resulting books are an intensely erotic trio of BDSM fiction that was a huge commercial success. Rice only came out as the author in the 1990s, and in 2015 she published the final book in the series Beauty's Kingdom.
Isabelle Lauren is probably the least known erotic fiction author on this list, but luckily we're here to share her name to rectify that! She currently has six books and a host of short stories that you can read for free on her blog. However, we're sure you'll get into more of her BDSM fiction once you have done that.
If you're looking for dark BDSM fiction that will leave you hot under the collar, Surrender in the Library is highly recommended and is book one of the Twisted Lovers series. My favorite is The Insatiable Jane Travers. Set in the 1920s, it tells the story of Jane Travers' journey from innocent virgin to insatiable vixen (hence the title). The book also features a wonderful girl/girl pairing/romance, so this one is definitely for you if that fits into your kinky fantasies.
Erotic literature can give you some new kinky ideas.
Kay JayBee stumbled into the world of erotic fiction after a fantasy she couldn't forget flitted through her head. She wrote it down and fleshed it out before sending it off to various publishers and is now an established writer of kinky literature with a penchant for BDSM erotica. Kay has produced over 70 short stories, featured in many anthologies and novels, including The Perfect Submissive series that starts with the novel The Fifth Floor. There are three books in the series, so there is plenty of kinky reading to keep you going. However, I highly recommend Kay's A Kink a Day series of books. Each one contains eight erotic fantasies, one for each day of the week and 'spare for your Saturday morning lay in.'
Erotic fiction lends itself so well to the short story format, and this series of books combines that format perfectly, giving you a standalone story for each day to set your pulse racing and other parts of you throbbing.
Kitty Thomas says her work is a blend of funny, sexy, and dark, which sums up her writing perfectly. Her first book published in 2010 was Comfort Food and is a dark, twisted psychological tale. Kitty is considered one of the original authors of the dark romance subgenre, and dark themes feature in much of her work. She believes fiction is meant to challenge the reader, not teach morality, so that should give you some idea of what you might get with her work.
Since 2010 Kitty has written numerous other novels, including The Dark Art series, a collection of individual dark, twisted stories, and an erotic paranormal collection. You'll love this collection if you're into myths and legends, vampires, and twisted fairy tales.
Guy New York (GNY) is the only male BDSM literature author on this list, but like some others on this list, he is a prolific and talented writer of erotic fiction. GNY has written over 75 erotic fiction novels covering multiple themes, kinks, and genres. If you visit his website, he has a fantastic offer where you can buy his whole collection for just $100. That sounds like a lot, but you get 75 books. Really how many hours of filthy sexy reading is that?
If hotwife kink is your thing, then GNY definitely will float your boat as he has at least 15+ books in his collection that tick that genre. He also has books covering the bisexual male genre and quite a few that will be up your street if you have a Daddy kink.

Whatever your kink and fetish reading desires, there is a kinky fiction author for you, but with so much censorship of sex and kink online from social media platforms and places like Amazon, it can be tricky to find what you are looking for. BDSM fiction and erotica writers struggle to get the recognition they deserve, and many mainstream publishers won't touch their work despite having a huge audience.
Hopefully, this list will help you find some exciting new writers to add to your reading list. If you know any BDSM literature authors you think we should know about, leave us a comment and tell us who it is and why you love their books.
