From the landing page, www.bdsmdatelink.com looks like a porn advert. I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad thing, but I personally don't find it very attractive. It certainly gives a feeling that the site is all about finding sex (kinky sex maybe, as the girl on the front page is bound and getting spanked), so if you're looking for hookups this might be the site for you.
Once you sign up the rest of the site is somewhat dated, looking like a blog site apart from the hardcore porn adverts all over the screen. BDSM Date Link is a site you don't want to be checking out in public if you don't have an ad blocker! That being said, BDSMdatelink.com is relatively uncluttered and easy to find what you want, around the adverts though.

Sign up is quick and easy, though binary. You can only sign up as a male, female, or a couple. It's a quick and easy process, but once you're through it, you're still going to need to fill in your profile. You have to do this within 90 minutes so make sure you do it all in one sitting, or you'll frustratingly have to do it all over again.
Once I logged in to BDSM Date Link, I found I could use all the features from browsing members, emailing, or instant messaging profiles. Instant messaging is only available on specific profiles though, and I never quite worked out why. All pages load quickly, and it's easy to navigate, everything is instinctual and easy to follow.
There aren't any community features at BDSM Date Link. No forums or groups to join. The only way to communicate with others is privately by the internal email system, which basically is private messaging or sometimes by instant message, but not all users have this. So it's very much a dating site, not a community site.
The number of male profiles is very high, many of them seeking femdommes. There are lots more Domme profiles than female submissives, which is unusual compared to other sites where female submissives are more prevalent. However, it does match up to the large number of submissive men on the site.
But are all the female profiles genuine? Are any of them Pro-Dommes? There was no indication on profiles that any were professional, but I can't confirm that all the profiles are real either. Some of the profile pictures looked like posed model photos. I didn't see many selfies or more natural looking images either.
Proceed with caution and never give over any personal details until you know you're talking to a genuine person.
When I arrived on BDSM Date Link, it seemed everything was free, until I clicked on a link to 'live sex' in the top bar which I couldn't click through with my ad blocker on. Once I switched off my ad blocker, it became clear it was a webcam site. Some of the clips you can view for free, but many of them are pay per minute. Even just to see the free material you have to give them your credit/debit card. So be sure you know all the terms and conditions before signing up.
On browsing BDSMdatelink.com, I found it strange that I wasn't getting any views or messages. I'm not big headed, but the experience of other dating sites leads me to expect messages to fly in pretty quickly, usually within minutes in fact, simply because I'm a woman.
So out of curiosity, I made a second profile as a guy. What I found was that when I clicked on profiles or tried to send an email or IM, a page asking me to upgrade popped up. It seems if you're a male, you need to pay to do just about anything on the site whereas a female profile can do anything at all for free.
A month's standard sign up is $29.86, and it is cheaper to buy several months or a year up-front. However, you might want to check if it's worth the investment before signing up for a year or even more than just a month.
I also found it interesting that within minutes of signing up, I had a message on my male profile, but of course, I couldn't read it until I signed up. Is the message real? Are any of the profiles on the site authentic? I honestly can't tell.
There is a help page with standard questions about uploading photos and filling in profiles etc. However, the answers aren't very in depth. I also found it frustrating that once I clicked through to a solution, you can't click to go back to the help section. You have to close the window and start all over again.
After my experience at BDSM Date Link, I'd advise anyone signing up to do so with caution. I couldn't verify if any of the profile were real as my female profile got no interaction and I couldn't see messages etc. under my male profile. If you like to mix your porn and dating in one site, it may be worth checking out for you but definitely proceed with caution.
