Where to find the guidelines?

I got a notification today that said: "Our new Safety & Inclusivity Guidelines are live! 🌟 Explore them now for a better experience within our kinky community. 🔒💜"

It would have been good to also provide a link to them.  Failing that, where can they be found?

I will post a link below for you, which will take you directly to the new Safety & Inclusivity Guidelines.

Thanks.  It mentions in the guidelines that you can filter by location.  How do you do this?  I can see message filters in my profile settings for each of the things mentioned but not location.

Under the browse/search tab, you can add location but only in relation to the distance from where you are. So I can do 50miles for example, from the postcode I've added as my location, but you can't search by town.

It wasn't the searching by distance that was the issue.  It was the ability to stop receiving messages if the person is a long way away from me.

In another forum post @BackRubsNBruises was receiving unwanted messages from a different continent.  If she could limit messages by distance she could prevent many of them.  I looked in settings when she was having the issue to see if their was a filter that could help and couldn't find one.  Seeing it mentioned in today's updated guidelines reminded me of her need.

From what I've seen of her statuses I don't know if she wants to completely bar any communication from people outside her area. The issue there seemed to at least be an actual glitch where to others her location appeared to me in North Carolina, USA when she's in fact located in the UK. Many people also have friends and acquaintances they enjoy chatting with around the world while not having interest in potential partners outside if a certain radius and the site doesn't have any means of seperate filters between friends and potential partners.

Aw! Thank you for thinking of me! Yeah, that’s still ongoing. Some people who have messaged me say my profile says I’m in North Carolina 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t want to filter my messages as I have friends on here from over there and I’d lose that. There’s no perfect solution it seems… except maybe fixing whatever bug has fixed to some profiles 😂

Sorry I couldn’t tag there, I can’t even do that now… perhaps the app is trying to tell me something 😂

I see it now, in settings, message filters. You can adjust location by distance. It's not a true location filter

In my setting, under filters, I only have the following categories:

  • Gender
  • Age
  • Single status
  • Has a pic
  • Message length
  • Profile verification check
  • Inbox too full
  • Videocalls
  • Adult content
  • Conversation invitations

There isn't one for distance that I can see.

Odd, I'll screenshot. It's not linked to membership type either as I'm on basic currently. Maybe glitch?

Also I don't have those options either?

I've also found the bugs and glitches are different depending on if you're using the app or the mobile browser. I've not used the desktop version so can't speak to that, but I've found the mobile browser to generally be much less buggy.

You've hit the nail on the head there. @CopperKnob sent me a screenshot from the app, and the options are different from those on the desktop.  It's true in reverse, some options on the desktop don't appear on the app!

Message filters should apply to spanks too, but don't...

I can see where you are going but they aren't messages really.  Only spanks I ever receive are from scammers in different countries so I would really like an added filter to control them

There's also no filtering or preference settings available for the site generated "matches"

Yeah exactly - the only spanks I receive are also from far-away scammers, so would like to be able to block those based on the same location filter that messages use.
