Just recently rediscovered Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet. First heard it from this video game called Madden 2004 way back in 2003. I remembered it would play many times while I was doing those practice drill mini games. Those were good times!!

Next up was The Middle by Jimmy Eat World. Definitely anti-Jimmy Eat World material for sure but I think they really pulled it off here. Also kickass guitar solo to boot.  And I don’t see them ever going back to this style again because it’s not their usual way of writing and that’s perfectly fine with me. It’s good sometimes to come up with material that isn’t your style.

And Lastly, Island In The Sun by Weezer. While the Green album has better songs than Island In The Sun for sure but I realized it’s the only laid-back song they had on there. Also their most accessible one as well. You can just turn this on any given mood and it certainly puts you in a better mood for it.
