BomshellBettie Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 The season of having our ears accosted by Christmas music is in full swing. When I worked in retail I'd be praying for a swift end so I wouldn't have to hear 'Last Christmas' or Mariah belting it out one more time. Being a retail grinch aside there's some classics that I willingly play whilst decorating my Yule tree and wrapping gifts. My faves being Bing Crosby and Doris Days 'Baby its cold outside' and Fall Out Boys 'Yule Shoot Your Eye Out'. What's everyone's favourite Christmas/Yuletide song?
bl**** Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Fuck I feel that in my soul if I have to listen to one more xmas song there will be a ***
SeaDragon580 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Laughing like a lunatic because I’m reading this as I’m waiting for a parade to start and was just complaining about hearing Mariah for the second time since we got here.
DH**** Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Me and my mates play a game called sniper the aim is to avoid hearing last Christmas by wham , if you do happen to hear it you’ve been sniped and are out . Last one standing wins It’s a laugh but hits hard if you do hear it, try it , it’s fun And try not to let the sniper get you 😂😂😂

Deleted Member Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Christmas wrapping is my fave song hehehe
Dr**** Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Bing Crosby/David Bowie duet on "Little Drummer Boy".
Spankmyclittymommy Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Steven Wilson has a new Christmas song out. But I’d still rather listen to porcupine tree 😂
Dr**** Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Another twisted classic is: Dropkick Murphys "The Season's Upon Us"

FreddieJobbs Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Lately, I’ve been digging The Gift That Keeps On Giving by Super Furry ***s. I was surprised to find a song like this at my job’s Christmas playlist. It almost reminded me of the classic rock group NRBQ because of the vocal harmonies. Always puts a smile on my face whenever it comes on!
Dr**** Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Another great holiday song just heard it again now. AC/DC's, "I Want A Mistress For Christmas"... seems appropriate for this site.
ge**** Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 There is only one and that is Fairytale Of New York by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl - can also be played all year round
FreddieJobbs Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 I just discovered Soulful Christmas by James Brown the other day at work. And I’m like that’s the kind of music we need to listen in the mornings! That energy!
Da**** Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Around this time of year, I'm still listening to the Spotify playlist called "Bedroom Bass". The songs really get me in a holly jolly mood of you know what I mean. I have 5 subwoofer speakers underneath my bed, all pointed upward, so the energy is really incredible when you feel the music underneath you. Can't say I've ever played any Xmas songs on those bedroom speakers tho.
FreddieJobbs Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Just recently discovered these two gems from work. I’m Gonna Be Warm This Winter by Connie Francis, 60s Ol’ R&B groove, and I’ll Be Home For Christmas by The Miracles. The drums sound fantastic in this.
