Lost Love

Beneath the stars where we once stood,
A shadow stirs within the wood.
Its voice a tether, pulling near,
The ghostly imprint of you still here.

Your touch was fire, your voice a song,
A fleeting warmth where I belonged.
But time, unkind, tore at the seams,
Leaving me adrift in fractured dreams.

Each memory fades, a watercolor hue,
A fragile trace of me and you.
Your laughter lingers, faint and gray,
A distant echo that won’t fade away.

Was it the wind, or your name I spoke?
A fleeting memory my heart still invokes.
The weight of loss, a heavy chain,
Binding me tight in love’s refrain.

Through sorrow’s haze, a light appears,
A path revealed by falling tears.
Though scars remain, they gleam anew,
A testament to the love we knew.

For lost love shapes the soul it leaves,
Through quiet nights and hearts that grieve.
And from the ashes, strength will bloom,
A life reborn, defying gloom.
