Accidents do and can happen. Apologies does not make a Sadist weak. For me, sadism is an intensely personal experience. I take pleasure in my partner's reactions, but only when I know we have a strong emotional foundation. This means trust and aftercare are non-negotiable- I need to know my partner feels safe, supported, and reassured after a scene. Casual play doesn't appeal to me in the same way it might for other sadists and that is okay. That’s not as pithy but it is what it takes and it starts at the most granular level , so much more about the kind of person, and sadist he is. habit, forms the bedrock for the environment of sadomasochism is vastly important.

@gregorhagor , that’s good that in your experience it never happened but Do not think because an accident hasn't happened to you that it can't happen. Even the best Sadists may slip. A person who refuses to acknowledge the folly of bumping into you because they tripped while hurting you, will also refuse to acknowledge the folly of causing you to seek medical care for *** sustained while they were hurting you. it indicates to the masochist who there sadist is and weather they can trust or not as I’m sure your well aware that trust is a two way street in any dynamic.
