I am sorry if this seems like a silly question. I am submissive but I am intrigued by the many people who ‘switch’. I am curious to know if people switch with their partner In a relationship or do they have one partner they dominate and have a different partner they submit to?

it varies a lot on folk depending on interest.

I switch with my wife.  But, I also play with others. Some I only sub/bottom to, some I only Dom/Top to.  There's arguably very few other people I've done any form of 'both sides' with even if they switch themselves.

I love to switch with my partners. It's an essential part of it for me.

For training sessions I'll usually have someone acting as my top as an instructor and someone acting as my bottom for a crash test dummy.  The instructor can punish or reward me depending on how well I do and can even have me switch with the other person if she thinks I've had enough practice.

Depends on the dynamic... I know people in both types. It all depends on what works best for you.

sometimes it depends on who you are with as you suggest, usually Kymi is a purring submissive alley cat, but if I sense submissiveness in another it triggers my inner tigress and they're cat meat, metaphorically of course, , I'd find it hard to switch with the same person, once I'd switched once it would be difficult to go back.  The exception is when I'm with other subs and a single Dominant ordering one of us to punish the other, although whether that counts as switching I'm not sure since to me its still being submissive just less ***fully so

I'm a switch, and personally? I think that, unless you and your partner really talk it out and accept a third person into the relationship; when someone says they're a switch, they just mean sometimes they prefer to be on top.
I usually like submitting, but I DO get the urge to dominate the fuck out of my partner, and so sometimes I'll ask if that's okay.

I am with spanking. I like to spank and being spanked. But my partners usually like to spank me more than being spanked. Either way I still love it.
