The plague is upon you! (Treasure hunt explanation/system)

And we feast on everyone we get, they would say. But the only thing they can do is growl, moan and maybe even whisper. Who knows for sure, as long as they themselves are not infected!?
And yeah, that's what it's about here.

My legion of zombies, the ever growing horde, that snuggle up on you and got you infected! If not right now, wait for it, there are some days left to get the disease! I'm still on it and have even bigger plans than ever...

But how did it happen so fast?! (...did they ask...)

This has to be something else than only a human being! (...they say!)
And the truth is: IT'S A FUCKING ZOMBIE HORDE MAN!!! >:(
:rage:
:triumph:
:yum:

No, just kidding!

It is really just me, and JordiStar can tell you that, since he was over for a short TeamViewer session and looked over my shoulder in real time. He's welcome to do this again any time I spend gifts, for as long as he want to hold his mouse still and let me do my thing.
We also talked the second time about – how the hell I do that – and I guess my arguments made sense for him too. At least I hope he get's the whole picture, since it has really many factors that came up with the experiences in every game before this one!

And you are damn right when you think: “This guy must love this kind of game!”
Because I like it. I like the zombie apocalypse, I like to dominate in games in general, I like strategies, I like thinking about optimizing processes, I like computers and know from hardware to software what to do to improve even a 10 year old machine to play games that are made for far better ones. Maybe not in the best quality, but since I am a Counterstrike BETA 0.5 gamer – man i'm old... – I know for sure every nice detail costs efficiency and how to tweak the **** out of a game and the system, to get better fps, a smaller latency and become one of the best.
Anyways, that's not the topic!

The topic is: YOU want prove, you want to know how and you have to earn to call me a cheater! Because I'm NOT!

The following part is about optimization of the computer and browser!
So if you have a brutal old one, like I had for the Christmas Event, you would learn some entry points were you could quench out some s***d for the browser. But I don't talk about it in detail, since there are thousands of helping tutorials in the world wide web to learn those things. So these are just notes you can google and then again optimize everything to your own needs.

#1 ~ Process priority of the browser to HIGH (...in the task manager)

#2 ~ Clean the browser history and temporary internet files (...over the browser settings)

...do this regular after a few hours of gifting people (like every 1000-5000 gifts)
#3 ~ Close EVERY program you don't need (Antivirus too for example)

And don't forget to activate it again later on!!! Just stay on the site for the time being... You'll be fine
#4 ~ Hide the favorites or bookmarks of the browser
...this is more a thing to shorten the paths between browser tab and gift to collect or browser tab and link to spend the gift. And YEAH while sending 10.000 gifts, it will spare a lot of time having shorter paths!

In general it helps to have a well optimized system. You should think about defragmentation and regular optimization because it serves you well in many ways.

Optimization of fetish (OPTIONAL)
Since everyone has it's own priorities, this is just something to think about – if you want to have better chances against a real competition in an event like the zombie hunt game.
#1 ~ setting a harder contact filter (to prevent disturbances | chatting slows down A LOT)
#2 ~ setting a status message to let people know your intentions

#3 ~ clear every board topic you follow (to prevent notifications from the bell | it slows down everything)

#4 ~ use placeholder Sites (google startpage because id does not update itself every few seconds) to separate areas (surfing part | zombies | users)
You will see it works better and you find faster the entry to the next task at hand

#5 ~ use more placeholders to get even smaller mouse paths to go (to shrink the main tabs you use)

Since the site is sometimes very busy, you should think about those things in general. Every bell notification can bring your browser with 20-90 sites (yeah for real) in some sort of wavy lagg situation. Because every tab will be notified! One after the other. You can even see what happens to your whole system, just by using the task manager with the performance tab. You will see huge spikes at this time on cpu and memory. That can hit an older machine very hard, and not only destroys the feeling of your hand and eye coordinated, emotion like gifting process. No, it can even create a minute long lagg or frozen screen. The same for the messages.
You are also able to set these kind of notifications in the settings part of your profile under forum settings. For the time you play you should change them to a minimum, send a email per day or something like that.
A harder contact filter prevents you from becoming mails in general, so I guess you should already have one setup to your own preferences. If not, better do it before you start gifting others all over the place. I myself set every time a status message in my profile for the time of an event – when I participate! Just to let people know I have no specific other intention than gifting them.
I tried once a game without one, because I wanted to see what would happen. And I can tell you, you are not able to give everyone a proper response they would definitely deserve, since many of them also want to talk and get to know people!
We all know It can be a little sad if someone does not answer, so it's maybe better to prevent this kind of situation for other persons.

The Zombies (or treasures) I use:

I will not tell you each and every one. Just look the video, think about what I let you know here, and you will know for the future which ones are the “fastest” and you should definitely use regular.
It's also some kind of optimization, because you spare yourself time again when you only use the zombies that load faster and/or also are accessible by one click in combination with the return function of the browser. Open every time a new browser tab for a gift is also not the way to go. The return part and update will become your best friend and save a lot of time.
It totally makes sense for people that gift more than 500-1000 gifts in one row, since every new move, click and load of contend will cost you a lot of precious time. You will not only save time, you also will create a better and faster handling with the mouse. Since every move tends to burn into your mind. It's like programming yourself to a specific task, that will be disrupted every time something takes to long – like the loading time of the zombie gift page to the overview of the event search that tells you that you have found one. Even if you only make ten userpages of the overview of the members – that would be around 240 users and also points depending on how lucky you are – you will know the difference for sure. You get faster with time because you play yourself warm, so it makes NO sense at all to make less than that to stay in the game and become a real opponent for your competition.

The Users YOU gift:
...should never be just those you would “date” or “fuck”. I mean what the hell, think about it! You are a person that gifts other persons to make a place in a game. You also make someone feel good, keep the community alive and also... damn, think even harder, not every skirt or nice ass buddy finds you as appealing as you find him/her.
A gender should also make NO difference here. You want to win? Play harder? Then get it out of your system by just masturbating and get on with the game. You should also think about the endgame here! The more you split everything, by using specific genders, ages and so on, the more you will struggle later to find in between the other persons that you did cancel out with it too.
Yeah, you could just set your settings to new one you think?!
Your so wrong! Sometimes the site bugs, you will see many people you have already gifted and have lost in the long run for sure! I can tell you that from multiple experiences since the first treasure hunt game! (Thank's again for all of them... :D)

The area you gift in:
It's the same. Think about it. Does it make sense to you to restrict yourself to a specific area, when there are 10-100 people already gifting others in yours? No right? So maybe you want to change your mindset for the next hunt and start maybe like me this time in South America and overrun the world while nobody is in your way!
Trust me, South America is completely mine, like America and parts of Canada nearly too. And this is why I win the race without even bothering with more than 20% negative outcome. Yes, still up to 80% points and more than 90% on day two and three of the contest. At day one it was around 99-100%! Why the hell did nobody claim those open areas after s many contests?
And that I'm better and faster right now is only because I have learned from my negative experiences of all other games before and thought about how and where to start this time! And this makes only the second biggest difference over all!

Because you yourself are your BIGGEST opponent in the game. Your mind will fight back hard when you start your day with the thought: “Ohhh man, another 100 userpages to go...”. Realize one thing:
You stop thinking straight, stop thinking about how you could make everything easier for yourself and what would be the most efficient way to archive the goal.
And go ahead, think about how many users that really are; when you would have 100% outcome.

Right, around 2400, since the script tends to bug and show not every time on every site the same amount of users. And now think again how many I did a day since I'm now on day 4th of my own participation on this zombie apocalypse event!
Do you really think I would have started if I would have thought about how many I “HAVE” to do? The truth is, I wouldn't have even started and I don't have to do anything at all!
My thoughts are more like, I want to beat my own personal record since minute one on day one of a participation! First my personal best for a day was around 4000 in another treasure hunt game. But only with ONE gift on day ONE of an event!
I beat myself with over 1000 gifts, then a bug happened this time and I had to stop because I was angry and annoyed. Thant's not a good mood or mindset to beat a record. And I'm only human, I have feelings, I am eager to become one of the best in a game in general, I've spend already a lot of time to archive it and so it's only natural to get sour.
My personal new for day one of participation in general is around 5500. Possible are up to 8000 with my system!!! That I can tell you by just thinking of how much time I had left. I made a 24 hour run the first day with little breaks in between!

And since you are the factor number one, let's talk about optimizing your mind:
First of all, take regular breaks, depending on your condition. Eat or drink something, go take a walk or do whatever helps you to get in the mood for another go. Set a small limit and keep it just up if you are still motivated. That can work wonders and bring you up to over 100 userpages from the search in one run. Change your position, the position how you sit and also the position of the wrist. Stretch every now and then, let go for a minute, move your arms a little and get back to it again. Hear some appealing or motivating music, that keeps you in the mood. I myself don't need this any time, but since I made a 24 hour run, I used it to stay sharper and awake. Be aware of the fact that your mind will try to wander off or even try to tell you that you “may could answer the new mail”. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to procrastinate your own goal. Finish it, then take a break and answer some mails or whatever. This is important for the long run, because you will find yourself babbling about everything every now and then.
Realize: Like with EVERY task in life we don't like to do, because it's so boring or we are not in the mood, it's the same here. The brain tells you stupid things, only to make the life nicer and easier and the world a rainbow colored place you want to be in. But man, there are no unicorns and from nothing, right, comes NOTHING!
Don't look every ten minutes on the points! This is just as stupid as answering mails. Every time you do that, you will struggle to get back to it again. And it also makes no sense at all later in the game, when the count does not even change by many digits anymore. Like for me now, I took not even a look at the points yesterday evening. And still not looking at them. I have a goal, but I don't want to see how far I have to go. Later it will be more motivating to have reached it AND to see that I made even more points than I had in mind when I started.

In general my thoughts:
What also helps me to stay sharp and in game is counting the zombie collects and also these I've gifted. It just helps to get faster to literally tell yourself, now to collect, now to open profiles, now to send gifts. It seems odd, but the truth is these are in fact tasks that need some adjusting.
Like the ways for the zombies are different for the first two, than to the other seven. The first two are in fact the first two because they destroy my own hand eye coordination. Not totally, since it is the same task, but a little, since the way I have to move the mouse is slightly different. The other seven zombies then after those two help to get this coordinated movement back for the sending gifts process. I know, some of you will make fun of this right now, but you can really feel how these minimal factors break a fully adjusted repeating movement. It feels so automatic without it, that I even tried playing without them. But the truth is both of those zombies on the right side help to focus a little more every round. Just to become faster again. At some point your body will overtake everything like you breath. It's like a rush then at some point, but you will never keep this s***d up, since the factor with the loading s***d of the zombies to collect makes everything odd again. It's annoying sometimes, but it is what it is. I also reload the zombies after collecting them straight after I did it, just because it costs more time later to do that. This would be every time a second or sometimes up to five if I would do it before I collect them and move on to the next to do the same. If I do it after collecting them, they load up while I doing the next and so on.
The same for the users. I open a lot of users right now and then gifting them till I have no zombies left. Because all the first sites will be ready to work on, even when you only do it with 24 profiles, the first 8-10 are ready to go. Even with a slower computer. I know that for sure. And that is in fact the most efficient way to do it. Because using one gift and one profile let's you wait for two unnecessary loading times. That's just useless. If your computer would be that bad, you could take a row of users or maybe too (4-8 users every go), use only 4 instead of 9 zombies and so on. The process is the same and the time consumption will be still by far lesser.

This was written yesterday, so I'm in day 5 of gifting people now! But who cares...
I hope you are satisfied and wish you a happy zombie hunt game!
Stay safe...

You are a legend!

Playing this game is about seeing how far I can optimize my efforts and my strategy. But I haven't done half the things you've done. It's been great playing with you and there's no way I can keep up or catch you. I'm just trying to hold on to second position.

@handlungsbedarf you said "just look at the video".... I don't see it?  Is there one>?  I'm super-curious about how you are doing this.

There is, but i cannot share it over youtube, since it could become a problem with privacy. Many users have their real pictures here, with a face and set their own privacy settings that you cannot see a picture or their profile without login on fetish.
I also tried to load it on my profile, but there was an error. It is over 300 MB big and 20 minutes long. I think it takes some time and consideration what would be "okay" to share it. I talked with JordiStar about it, so i guess they decide if it will be shown somehow, since they decided to take it from the main topic.

But i also have forgotten something that can help to get windows faster (i guess a mac has those settings too). There is a feature called aero, that changes the design of windows to a more modern look. It also makes editor, browser, program and folder look nicer and beautiful. Windows had it not forever and you also can turn this of and make room for a program or the browser. I did forget it because im on a Ryzen 7 3700X with 32 GB Ram and two Ge*** 1070 Ti. So there is no need for this kind of optimization for me. On my older computer i used this too! It is an essential part to get Windows and the browser faster.
The only thing that holds me back is the connection between server and computer. And that is one thing i can't change at all. Anyways. It is one of the newer Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 10) features but also XP has settings to change the design to a more simple one. But it won't give so much s***d like turning off aero. And these features are completely unnecessary and do only affect the design.

Windows.... I'm on a Mac. Not sure most of this applies to me.

Like i sait, it is something one would have to google. Since i never used a mac, i cannot help there.
The thing is, a real computer is way more flexible to change over the years. If there is no real change for the processor it is even possible to upgrade the hardware after 5 years and that will give another 2-3 without bigger problems. But i have gown up with a computer and was stunned as my father took a cd rom drive and doubled the s***d on it just by changing something in the hardware. It was unbelievable for me. I was 8 or so... But he read it in a magazine and there was a step by step guide for it. I think that was the point for me where all the interests for things like hard and software begann.

Anyways! I reached the 19999 some minutes ago after incredible 5 and a half days and i would love to hear from you if i got you!!! :yum:
So if you read this, let me know if my zombie horde took a bite... :P

Have a nice stay on fetish, enjoy your weekend and stay save! ;)
