one of your best chances of finding anyone is going where they are.  Munches, events, etc. but do some homework first and don't treat them as pick up bars.

If you're based in London you're pretty spoilt for choice for events, parties, munches, workshops, etc. so there's very little excuse.  But appreciate it does take time and patience to build up trust for someone to wish to play with you.
