Lillyth Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I would put forward the opinion that to be submissive is far from weakness. It takes a great deal of strength to be submissive. Mental strength to trust someone so much that you let them see you, truly see you at your most exposed and ***. Physical strength in certain aspects of play I.E. bondage, *** etc. Submissive women.....those that choose to be submissive in their relationships/dynamics are some of the strongest women I know. Also as I mentioned earlier, submissive to one person does not mean submissive to the world.
Deleted Member Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 I understand. I apologise for my crude language. Strength/ weakness are the wrong words I guess. Too polar in description. Also my thoughts are naive and juvenile. I need to up my game. Sorry 🙄
Lillyth Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 No need to apologise just wanted to stick my two penneth in! 😂
Deleted Member Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 I like that you do. Let's face it I'm out of my depth asking such stupid questions. What is wrong with me?? Lillyth, please shoot me and put me out of my misery.
Bo**** Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Thought provoking!..... So here goes. submissive behaviours......i feel as strengths, the self-surrendering strength of giving to others of the self for the perceived good of the heirachy. The overtly artificial construct of cultural patriarchy, well that is based in the cognitive dissonances & distortions created through *** control mechanisms that religions rely on to survive rational thought. most submissives ,in my limited experience, have endured, suffered; & yet have survived 'damage', to grow stronger & more resilient.....free to embrace the hedonism of self-surrender. To give that trust in a dynamic is a burden of responsibility too few 'Doms' truly understand. Balance,equality,trust........a mix of submission & domination to be crafted by dynamic's participants.....feminism is an attitude to help restore that balance? An ally ? Anyway, thank you for great post🙏 Life, love n unity

Phoenyx Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Kink and ideology are two vastly different dynamics. Ideology involves one's view toward human society in general---its inner workings, protocols, hierarchies, etc. Ideology is a variation of "mob mentality", and tends to be very cold and impersonal. Kink and submission, on the other hand, are strongly related to one's feelings about another individual. Does that person make one's heart race, do they make one feel "weak in the knees", do they touch that place deep within, and can they be trusted with that responsibility? Of course, we have all known/met folks who seem to live and breathe nothing but politics. Such folks cannot seem to see past the stereotypes created by their ideologies. They miss the beauty that can be found within "individuals". Every word, every action, every relationship must be dedicated toward changing the world, or keeping it the same, or even sending it back to some previous era. Dealing with such attitudes can often be infuriating. Individuals who do not fit their Us-against-Them equation (either in a positive or negative way) tend to be spurned or ignored. They fail to see that the formula of Life, the Universe, and Everything doesn't always add-up to 42. Anyway, this is not meant to point any fingers. This is merely a way of showing, that comparing kink to feminism (or any other ideology) is like comparing apples to oranges. Or, more like, apples to carburetors.
