pedestal I hear very good things about. TG I personally have always wanted to see but mixed reviews. Antichrist is a real mix of fetish, club and shows.

events are quite varied and in London you're spoilt for choice.

If you're a newbie - I recommend Club DVS, they are well tailored towards newbies and people finding their feet. Probably one of the safest bets if you're on your own. 

Bigger events like TG and Antichrist can be a bit daunting on your own.  Pedestal I wouldn't recommend if you're new/inexperienced because it's a protocol event.

I really enjoyed Subversion also.
