Deleted Member Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 So last year I developed this horrible condition that no one seems to know much about. I just wondered, as we're a sexy bunch here, if anyone else has experienced it too. It's an explosive headache that comes on at the point of orgasm and then lasts for 2 or 3 days afterwards (though it dulls to a much more bearable migraine after the first 10 minutes). I even stopped me masturbating for *** that I'd trigger another one. And I took a long sabbatical from my pleasure. I suppose I forgot all about it... started masturbating again in lockdown and BAM!!! The explosion headache returned. This time, I had a week-long migraine and eventually spoke to my GP who made me check into hospital. I had all the tests you can imagine. They didn't find anything wrong with me. No explanation except that they don't know much about this but it is a known 'thing'. The consultants at the hospital seemed more embarrassed to speak about it than I did. I don't mind talking about my orgasms at all. I suppose that's the bonus of being kinky. I've discovered that I can orgasm carefully. If I avoid certain more vigorous practices, I don't get the headache. This doesn't fit with who I used to be though! Maybe it's who I need to become? Has anyone else heard of this? Does anyone have any wisdom to share? Thanks Rose
Dreamaway Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Could it be something to do with having been forbidden from enjoying yourself in a previous relationship, a kind of *** guilt headache kicking in before the point of release? Maybe an aspirin to thin your *** a little before you start the process could help. Just a thought Rose...hope you manage to work through this, although I imagine you took great delight describing this to staid doctor types. Good for you, at least you sought medical help.
qu**** Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Do you usually have migraines without sex? On reading it seems to be a sudden *** pressure increase in the smaller veins in the neck and head that causes it, and yes usually harmless, I imagine the only way of knowing would be to bring on the headache in a medical setting, though possibly a physiotherapist or neurologist may have a better idea

Thanks sweetie 💜 No as I’ve not been forbidden release for a long time. But I have been looking at possible psychological and spiritual factors. I might try the aspirin too.

It definitely feels like a *** pressure thing to me. I can chuckle at the thought of trying to recreate it in a medical setting.
SammyB Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 (edited) On occasion I get really bad *** in my head as I orgasm and after I orgasm it lasts about 5-10 mins but it is awful . There is lots written about it online , it’s not as uncommon as you think Edited February 20, 2021 by SammyB

And I was kinda frustrated that the medical profession had nothing to advise. I don’t want to limit myself the next time I’m getting into a heavy play session because I’m nervous about triggering the exploding head ***.
qu**** Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 The only "cure" I came across was to stop sex just before you orgasmed, not suitable I know 🤗🤗

I'd go months free of them then have a few days where they'd hit. Did manage to figure out they happened more if my neck had any pressure (face down head back) so just avoiding that position helped.

Thank you Bounty. I will have to test some different positions.

qu**** Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 The article I saw said it was a predominantly male problem, and no I didn't misread about the head aching after. But in seriousness I hope you find a way of stopping the aches 🤗🤗

Deleted Member Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 A couple of years back, I had this. Felt like a masonry nail being driven into the back of my skull as I came. It would be super intense and once started, wouldn’t clear up all day no matter how much water I drank or what I took. Sometimes it lasted for days. I also used to get it when exercising vigorously, so jumping rope, heavy deadlifts, etc. Went to see a dentist on a hunch as I’ve had issues in the past with TMJ from clenching my jaw when I sleep. He used the material they use for fillings to build up my incisors so I couldn’t lock my jaw all the way closed. It helped realign my jaw (Was getting a bit of an underbite from locking my jaw) and the tension in my jaw (and headaches) gradually faded. Had a bit of a reoccurrence last year so I stopped drinking coffee (Was on five or six cups a day) and it went away. So yeah. Not sure if it’s the same thing. But excruciating mind blowing headaches at the point of orgasm? Check. Crazy as it might sound, maybe talk to a dentist.

Check. Crazy as it might sound, maybe talk to a dentist. Thank you for the tip! I will do that. I've also been getting spinal adjustments and cranial-sacral osteopathy which I'm hoping will address the issue. I believe it's more to do with energy in the body and that's why traditional medicine couldn't resolve it.
Deleted Member Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 Yeah, to me it always felt like a tension thing. As my *** pressure went up exercising, it would start to throb, and if I tried to push through, it just got worse and worse. The orgasm one was more of a POW! and you’re done kind of deal. On a lighter note, how shook were you the first time it happened? Like WTF!? 😵 Who..!? All looking around like someone just snuck up on me.
SimonEdi Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 I cant shed any light on the cause but ive definitely had this too, but on and off over the years and it seems to have been related to work stress so its possibly a *** pressure thing.. However... i know when im stressed i tend to drink more coffee or caffinated products as im sleeping less.. when the stress goes away i usually cut back on those and also often loose a little weight back to my normal so those could be a factor too.. Dont know if any of those might be relevant to you but like de stress, less caffiene and stuff definitely made them go away for me..

It was like a mushroom cloud in my head. It was one of those kinda POW! and you're done deals. A moment of high intensity. If I go for a gradual buildup and approach orgasm differently, it hasn't happened. I haven't had much chance to test this extensively since it happened because Covid has ruined my sex life.

SimonEdi Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 No problem! I have since found a whole bunch of medical papers about it but those papers seem to be mixed messages and even conflict with eachother, i would try like lowering the caffiene and stress and seeing how that helps, maybe not much sex for a little while incase its a healing matter When i had mine like i stopped masturbating for a few weeks, maybe a bit more then they were gone long term
