Attention seeking

This isn't a rant rather a question of experience

I have a play partner and found them via a similar site, took a long time and understand the importance of taking time in order to choose the correct person to share intimacy and the ability to open up to them, trust etc

now I wanted to ask if people feel there are several profiles on here that are more for seeking attention more than interest in the lifestyle or fetish, I'm not saying the majority but was wondering if anyone else has notice this more, I get a lot of follow my Instagram type comments etc, which I have no interest in but seems these people have crept into these realms over recent months

to a degree - if you swap the word "attention seeker" out with "exhibitionist" it's nothing really all that new.

I think it depends where they're trying to direct someone.

Taking someone to "hangouts" - scam

Taking someone to instagram - which is strict against soliciting and fights scams - yeah, just exhibitionism

Some people see this as a dating site and like any dating site there are going to be people who join just to see how many other people show interest in them.

Most profiles on any site are there just looking for attention. It is by far the majority of people. Its literally in our human nature to look for attention. It's why FB, Twitter and Instagram are huge. People want follows, people like it when their posts to get likes. It hasn't crept up at all, its been like this for many many years.

An older friend of mine, who has been involved in online dating since the early days, says he has noticed the increase of people who never really have the intention to ever meet. They just want attention and time, knowing they could have you before moving on. ‘Clock-blockers’. I’ve since noticed it too.

For me exhibitionism is a kink but that's more to do with showing off the forbidden, by that I mean in social norms, these people don't share that type of intimacy or picture, just are addicted to having followers

I like exhibitionism, and like that side of things, to be fair the majority or profiles I'm talking about are generally from younger girls, and they have lots of perfect make up and filters, which for me is off putting anyway, as perfect fake barbie look isn't for me

nostress has an insight and reflects the points made about human nature, we all like to have attention and be noticed but those platforms exist on other sites and now I see them here too

Who doesn’t like attention?
