Je**** Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Intuition is defined as: "The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning." or, "A thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning." How many times have you ever had that, "pit of the stomach feeling something bad would happen..."? It is often referred to as 'clairvoyance', or 'foreseeing' things before they happen. It can be our brains telling our stomach what we already know, but have shifted to the back of our minds. There is never an easy way to explain it but, when we do realise we were 'forewarned' subsciously, there's always that, "Thank fuck" or, "Fucking hell I knew that would happen!", kind of relief / response. Regardless of why or when we feel it, it is there for a reason! Society and human nature teach us a lot. Some people and/or things are expected and predictable, some not so much. But everything we see, hear, touch and feel registers with us. When all these things join together they can create that overwhelming gut feeling if something is slightly amiss. (This can be annoying when it doesn't go away for days and you're sat wondering what is going to happen). Some times nothing happens at all and the anxiety is toying with us! But mine has NEVER been wrong. I guess my point is, if you have a flicker of doubt, or spontaneous anxiety, it's probably your intuition. If a play buddy, a friend, a partner, or even a stranger makes you feel this way, then you need to question that. If you feel it before meeting someone new, you need to really stop and think *why?*. Keep yourself safe. Even if you are just messaging someone and you get this 'feeling', and you come into the chat and ask others about it, I guess that's a sign in itself that you have this intuition and you just want it backed up. In this lifestyle especially, we can never be too careful. There is always someone or something that could be dangerous or harmful, whether it's a person with mal-intent, to unsafe practise, or just unfortunate accidents we all need to be on the ball. Intuition can flag this with us, if it is strong enough. Do not ever ignore this feeling. Get to the bottom of it. *Please note I am not saying everyone or every situation is negative, but for the ones that are, listen to your body!* Perhaps people here can share their experiences...? How has intuition helped you? Lucky escapes? Foresight on a bad event or play practise? Telling you that someone is lying to you? That someone wasn't who or what they claimed to be? I'm hoping we can show people just how varied our intuition range can be, but at the end of the day to trust this and know the signs. Can never be too safe. Every day is a school day and it's good to learn from others! I hope this makes sense haha. Stay safe, stay sexy! Jen X
CharlieSQ Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 It makes perfect sense, what your referring to is your 'gut feeling you should always trust it, our central nervous system releases chemicals to all parts of our bodies to all situations, those released into your gut are absolute and based on all your past experiences, the gut doesn't doubt itself hence why it is always right, the same chemicals released to the brain incorporate rationel, doubt and all other human emotions that make us go against our gut,in a nut shell the nervous system in your gut doesn't have the ability to doubt itself but your central nervous system does, hope that makes sense.x
qu**** Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 I find it odd when for no particular reason you're one or two minutes later before driving to find there was an accident where you'd of been if you left when you meant to, or when driving you suddenly realise you've been driving for 20 to 30 minutes seemingly without noticing where you are, I always check traffic reports after that one lol
