Old dogs and new tricks

Can an older Dom/Master learn new tricks? After nearly 10 years with the same sub and her eventual (but expected) going out on her own. I find myself both excited and anxious to be going down this road again with a young eager sub. I worry is it possible to be too…for lack of a better term “set in my ways” and am I inflexible now. I wonder if any have had this same issue and if so how they overcame it.

I've always thought as each and every connection can be different, unique, so can the parameters we choose to fit that connection. As such, for me we are flexible and can indeed learn new tricks along the way, if we are willing to look beyond what we already know or expect

A very important thing is always to keep learning

and, the thing is - you might have certain ways that work for you.  You don't need to wholesale change those.  You do of course need to accept some people will not be compatible with those - but.... someone else will.

We all reach these major turns in life where we have to reassess ourselves again. You my friend are the same person who learnt those skills before but now wiser and more experienced.

I think with any new girl, younger or not, we taylor our play to their preferences to an extent. It is one of my favourite things as it teaches me so much and ***s me out of those lazy behaviours I may have developed.

It is a great time to reassess your needs and wants to, make sure that you are getting what you need and talk deeply with your new partner about what you both would love to try but never have. Make it your own.

I am certain that you be just fine as writing that took guts. With those you can do pretty much anything mate.

Always open your mind to something new, focus on the positive aspects and you may be wondering why it took so long.
