I know what you mean. My first few days were jaw dropping with what I was being told or called, then I got a message from @peoria602. He welcomed me and told me he’s a gentleman dom and I should look at his profile and ask him any questions I have about it. He was the first to just go about our conversation in a relaxed, confident way. That was back in April and I plan to move closer to him starting next year so we can be with each other more and I’m going to go to school. I was very lucky Sir contacted me. We match each other intellectually and physically. We can both read each other’s minds and I feel like he knows me better than I know myself.

Well Lockfairy, my fingers are crossed that he comes to his senses.  We dominants don't get everything right all the time.

To be honest, I have zero optimism that he’ll be able to overcome the barriers that are now stopping things from working.

It’s not his fault. It’s nobody’s fault. It just is what it is.

Everything I said in my original post still stands. It’s been a wonderful year of love and caring and exploration and I have learnt things about myself and I will cherish the experience.

I sort of wish I could turn comments off now because it’s hard to still get the occasional congratulations, but, having said that, I still think it’s worth shining a light on the positive possibilities of this website for those still in the bearpit. Just because it didn’t work out in the long term, I don’t consider it a failed relationship and I’m glad to have had the year I had with him. ❤️

Well the bear pit is something that should be highlighted to the newbies, but, if you really want to turn it off to new comments, I would have a chat with PixieDust.  She is a wonderful person with lots of site knowledge about how things are done, and she might just be able to point you in the right direction.

A lovely mod did contact me to offer that, but on balance, I think I’d rather leave them on. It’s not going to hurt forever.
