Inexperience!

I have been a needle bottom for over two years to the same top. Before she stuck me once she showed me videos of scenes she had done with other people. She is now training other tops to stick and they have done numerous hours of classroom training. But she has them stick her as their first stick. I also volunteer once she trusts them for training but only for sticks that aren’t very challenging. Having a mentor or another Dom that will help them gain some experience, even if it is with a different sub it is good experience. If it is with the sub that has previous experience a bond can be formed, speaking from experience.

I’m an inexperienced dom. It’s been hard finding a willing sub.

It will be hard - it's the nature of the beast.
.
However be honest with yourself, are you going the right way about finding what you seek?
.
Have you got a well written profile that will pique people's interest, that whilst it shows your inexperience, also shows that you're willing to learn, and that you've really thought about your interest in domination and what motivates you?
.
Have you sought out and attended local kink events and munches not with a view to anything happening more to meet and connect with like minded people?
.
Have you spent time on sites like this, and blogs, and books reading as much as you can and furthering your knowledge?
.
Do all of the above and it won't guarantee a thing but your perception will change for the better.

My experience was quite the opposite. My first sub was vastly more experienced than I, he guided me kindly into my role. I still thank him regularly for my first education, he set me up well. If he is reading this he may add an obsequious reply 😏

I'm fairly new to the Dom and Sub relationship and I might be completely incorrect in my thinking on this subject...
This is my opinion on the matter. First of all, gender is completely interchangeable for a Dom or Sub. Anyone can assume either role. I believe that an experienced Dom can teach a brand new Sub to be dominant and submissive. However I don't think that an experienced Submissive could teach a new Dom both roles. I know that a well versed Sub understands how both roles are performed. Yet I think Sub can teach a newbie how to be a Dom but not how to be a submissive. I would appreciate any input as to whether my thinking is valid. Thank you, Amanda.

I would rather be with an experienced Dom. When I speak of experience I mean a Dom who understands his roles an responsibilities. Who continually educates himself on his role an responsibility. Someone who has understands the importance of training, having protocols, tasks, rules, discipline etc. For me I would be more comfortable to follow a Dom who has implemented those things. I need to feel like the Dominant knows what’s best for me. I can’t trust someone who is inexperienced to guide me or to push certain boundaries. I am a reflection of my Dominant. If i look bad that makes the Dominant look bad as well. I want a Dominant that has been through pit falls an can somewhat navigate through it.
