What does “penis envy” mean to you?

Thomas, how do you feel now in terms of parity? As a child you don't know the pros of being a woman to get close to women, as you don't know relationships yet. You can't imagine a bereaved incel born with so much, brainwashing themselves they have little. All these men born with penises and privilege lack the ability to connect with a woman in a genuine way and so suffer all their entire repressed and blame-filled little lives.

this was part the reason I'd not added anything - but then there is a difference

the concept of 'penis envy' is an outdated idea that women wish they had a penis

there was a trans man commented saying they wished they'd had a penis - and, well, they're not female.

The concept of penis envy started off in the 70’s I think, but I might be wrong. There was a sexual revolution from the late 60’s going into the 70’s and a lot of different ideas and concepts were born in that era. In principle we should be happy with what we were born with but some women and men quite understandably want to be the opposite to that, hence transgender transformation. Nothing wrong with curiosity and fantasy ,as that is what our kink world is all about. I’m sure there might well be penis envy for some woman and maybe vagina envy for some men. I personally am very happy with what I’ve got and intensely fascinated by what women have, vagina and breasts in all their splendour.

Just because Frueds psychological theory/model on penis envy was inaccurate, doesn't mean that penis envy doesn't exist at all. To deny it exists, based on 1 persons opinion or definition of it, is totally ignoring other evidence of its existence & at the same time telling those who do feel envious of those with a penis that they are wrong, they can't have those feelings or thoughts, as they don't exist just because Frueds definition was wrong, is denying them the right to feel how they feel.

 

The concept does exist, just not to the way Frued claimed it does - someone has even posted here that they are envious as they are transgender - it is just a much broader topic than Frueds theory, even more so in this day.

this would be valid - but... the original post specified "female envious of the male penis" - while a trans man may be envious they do not have a penis, they are not female even if AFAB.  The original post completely erased and disregarded trans folk in the first place.

All the men stand in a dignified row facing the sunset exchanging pleasantries, nonchalantly draining their bladders. Meanwhile, I scurry into the brush, scared to death of stepping on a snake or getting bitten by untold critters, I choose a spot get half undressed, squat, only to have the head lights of the only other vehicle that has used this road in the last hour beam directly onto my bare bottom, illuminating it like a sparkling moon, for all the men to point out to each other.
