Start small 4-5inches, plenty of lube. Then go bigger once you feel comfortable

I recommend carrots! They start off thin and get thicker. They have a nice texture. But honestly what really I like are #2 pencils. You just twirl them slowly and the edges are awesome!

Bag of carrots, look for a bag with a mix of sizes, use condoms or wrap them in clingfilm/plastic wrap, start with small & work your way up the sizes, the tapered shape makes them ideal to work thin to thick, one by one, getting bigger - you shouldn't need to spend anymore than for a bag of carrots, and lube of course, to get prepared to be pegged - you have the advantage of being able to measure them to work out what size dildos & toys you will be comfortable with being used, before you go splashing out your cash experimenting with different size toys at the start

I wouldn't recommend carrots

I'd recommend something designed to go up your bum

you can get beginners anal sets from lovehoney for relatively cheaply which comes with some plugs and toys of different sizes and a douche - mind - even the largest of those isn't that large but it gets you used to the sensation - and once you're happy with the largest - you can go and buy something bigger

One thing you have to watch for is to make sure any base on these toys is wider than the bulb or length - this reduces the risk of the whole toy slipping in and you being unable to get it out.   So you don't have to explain to A&E why there's a carrot up your bum.

Small ones that are good quality not just cheapish some have rough parts and that sucks but a good pricier set of training plugs would be perfect

my wife's mother works in A&E

All I'm saying is she's removed more carrots (and other vegetables) from people's arses than wide-base butt plugs

Depends on the person I suppose. I use one that is realistic since it's squishier than most. Nothing bigger than an average penis for a beginner.
