I use "mango" or traffic lights (green, yellow, red) with my partners. I usually use traffic lights with new partners or inexperienced ones.

I learned early on never to use traffic light colors — red especially — because I use colors a lot in dirty talk and sometimes I’m only able to get one word out of my mouth (because stuff is just feeling so damn good!) and if it’s “red” when I don’t mean “traffic-light red”, then that shuts everything down — which is NOT the desired effect!

I use “Piccadilly” if I’m able to speak (because it’s a word I never say and it’s not sexy), I hum Darth Vader’s theme music if I’m gagged, and I tap “Shave and a haircut” if I’m unable to do either of those (sometimes if I’m gagged as well).

Always have verbal and nonverbal safe words! So important for everyone’s safety!!!

There is nothing worse than being mid-scene and realising you've forgotten the safe word. With every strike you're thinking “This is a bit intense, I need to stop this, ouch, too hard, damn, what’s my safe word? Ahh, ouch"..... etc

So my chosen safe word is........... Safeword! 

Can't be mistaken and if you do happen to forget it, it's very easily recalled.

One of my subs uses "Mercy", which I absolutely love - it tickles the sadist in me, and my other sub uses "spaghetti", which makes me kind of giggle. 😊

I normally ask for two safe words one hard and one soft. I make the subs choose them, so they won’t forget,
Hard safeword means everything stops, soft safeword means we can continue play but whatever you are immediately doing needs to stop.
