Deleted Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Where can you learn shibari in a group or with a master? Without sex. Me and my wife would love to explore shibari more. Is there some courses or meet ups somewhere?
Deleted Member Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 Ropunawa (Tying with Friends). I believe the individual/couple lives in Switzerland. They also have an Instagram.

OT**** Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Have a look on Fetlife, there should be a local ***r group close to you
ey**** Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 ***r Rope groups are usually over saw by a couple of people are usually fairly skilled/experienced with rope everyone else there will be at different levels with a view of learning in a shared environment the plus of these is the potential for shared learning and that they are inexpensive the negative is of course they're often fixed date/time/location and involves a shared space. Sometimes it's possible to learn faster (or slower) than others around and feel either held back or left behind -- if you have any local specialists they will usually be very enthusiastic about this and known - at the worst, attending a couple of munches to see who might be best placed to help is a plus in the UK there are a handful of people who are very happy to travel around for group or one to one training - however, of course, they tend to want paid the same either which way - so on a one-to-one basis can be quite costly but it means you get direct and specific tutoring -- there are of course a number of online courses and training and resources, a lot on youtube the plus is of course they are free and can be accessed anywhere any time - but - a downside is some might follow an assumption of knowledge, some can be a bit fast and of course, it's always easier with the help of another person
Deleted Member Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 GenCon usually offers 2 classes. It's a gaming convention in Indy in August. Great intro and includes basic knots and safety. Other gaming conventions may as well. There's usually a small kink community within the gaming community.
th**** Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 The duchy, two knotty boys, books, YouTube, rope classes you can find on fetlife.
Si**** Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 You could look start your own group and assign different ties to each couple in attendance. Everyone learns one or two ties to bring to the group to teach everyone else. Profit.

le**** Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Just to note, we have launched a new online course at the BDSM Training School for all kinksters interested in Shibari. Taught by (and brought to you in partnership with) Esinem Shibari Classes who have over 30 years combined experience, this is the ultimate beginner's guide to Japanese rope bondage. While some may prefer in-person lessons naturally, there is also a highly valuable alternative.
Esinem Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Haha! I was just about to say that :-D Anyway, as one of the tutors on this course, hit me up with any questions. BTW, shibari means many things to many people. Our particular path has been strongly influenced by the masters of Japan, rather than western variants. It's worth looking at the various styles that people call shibari as they can be very different. Decide what pushes your buttons. A rose by any other name...
