A dom that enjoys sub things or a switch?

I am someone who identifies as a dominant, as I like to take charge in a relationship, and in scenes. However I do have some kinks that tend to be seen as more submissive ie ***s, rainbow kisses, and a few others. I am wondering if those kinks make me more of a switch, or if calling myself a dom is still the right title.

I think it’s show your receive it. I don’t think enjoying ***s makes you submissive, I wanted mine to do it once (she couldn’t) as I felt very primal consuming all the was.

the whole kinda concept of what activities are considered submissive or Dominant is general a construct.

Switch is often an easy term cos it can mean pretty much anything on the left (Top/Dominant/Sadist/etc) and anything on the right (bottom/submissive/masochist/etc) and piecing together what you consider your kink profile can be tricky

a lot of activities are not exclusively Dominant or submissive.

if I tied a sub to a cross and made her drink drink drink and drink loads of water and had her to the point of desperation... and then, when she can't take it any more and explodes everywhere - if I then get below her and start drinking her *** - is this whole concept Dominant or submissive because I am effectively making her *** for my pleasure?

The titles you choose are what fits you overall.  You also do not need to just have one.

I’m a Dom, but I also have some masochistic traits as well. I don’t necessarily see that as making me a switch. I do have more sadistic tendencies than masochistic. But, I also would never inflict and *** on someone that I’ve not yet experienced myself.

To be honest, sometimes I get confused if the guy is more a Switch than Dominate. There are some Dominates that need a reversal "now and then". Also, some who is DOMINATE, but has their things they really enjoy. This is up in the air. Like the other members said "Only you can know".

Just an observation here, so if a Dom has small and minor Sub like urges, but still identifies a Dom and not a Switch...

By the same token their Sub could, could have small and minor Dom like urges, but still identify as a Sub and not a Switch.

If the Dom did not see it that way, well to me it seems hypocritical and perhaps even unethical practice. But that would be another discussion (or debate) entirely.

You see it all the time with subs who say they are littles and brats. Brats are Dominant roles.
