ro**** Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 I knit and tie fly fishing flies. Started knitting to get my mom back into it. And kept doing it. (Shrugs with sheepish grin)
Charms Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I crochet . Make will hangings with qll sorts of materials
ro**** Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I enjoy a lot of woodwork, I didn't know that I was something like Picasso until the pandemic hit when I first came to Texas. I love the DIY and besides construction and Machinist I agree with my hands and I love Bill stuff. Self-sufficient to an extent
Sa**** Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I am a crafter, I dabble in a bit of everything. You might want to check out using rubber to start with because it’s cheaper then most good leather. Then once you have something you like the you can switch it over to leather. Just a idea. I would suggest not getting the real expensive tools to start with. I should take my own advice.. I go in to the craft store for one thing and end up buying 20 things cause I can use it on a different project later and it’s on sale 🤣🤣🤣
al**** Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I'm am electrician by trade that had a mid life switch to carpentry. I do a lot of custom work in multi million dollar homes around north Texas. Carpentry was my passion and hobby for years. Then I switched to do something I love. But I am an all around crafter/diy. Th4tFl0w3rL4dy is correct. Mach up your ideas in cheaper material to find what you like or make adjustments to and after fine tuning make them out of whatever you want the final product to be.
al**** Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I'm sorry Sara-Secrets was the one who suggested the cheaper material.
Ms**** Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I crochet too! I’d love to hear what you come up with.

In a few weeks I am making my daughter a vanity tablet with mirror and I want to put a plug outlet on it. I have to admit I am cheating cause I already have the mirror with all the bells and whistles and I have a desk that I am just reconfiguring and adding selfs. I just don’t know if I should pigtail the socket into the mirror and only have one plug to plug into the house or let the socket have its own plug. Any suggestions.
AlphaLion Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Yep I've done some crafting before but not quite the same as the project you have in mind. My crafting involved making medieval scrolls for a specific scene and theme. Worked out really well. Sometimes you just have to give it a go and learn on the job. Good luck :-) YouTube is your friend.
Dy**** Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I make custom furniture in my off time, and am starting to take what I know and apply it to kink devices like spanking tables and play couches.
Deleted Member Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 I could easily put Gord to shame if I found a chick who would be into being on the receiving end of it.
