For the doms that think “training” is a real thing- 😂 trust , dedication and communication is all there can be. If anything it’s the doms that need the training- how to care, hit properly etc. all the subs need to do is obey- no training needed if a true submissive

Really don't agree with the word "train" in any sense but some do I suppose.
You should want to learn more as the Sub or Dom and of each other. Of course that's after you've already learned as much of yourself as possible. It's a nightmare having to go round in circles because someone hasn't explored in themselves so doesn't know what they do enjoy or any kind of start for you to begin at.
You both learn your dynamic together- limits, desires, turn ons, no go zones, tolerances and how to trust. Its a journey together that should be fun and inviting.

Basically focus on you then you both and take enjoyment from it🙂

I was nodding all the way to "all subs do is obey" is that all we do? I suppose it depends on the specific relationship

Different dynamics have different needs. Ignore those who say a sub doesn’t need training just because they don’t need it in their dynamic.
.
Training must be something the sub wants to improve too, maybe diet, exercise, or high protocol, but they must want to learn, even if only to please you.
.
Be careful about causing trauma. Things which they feel uncomfortable about, like weight for example, can be very hard to talk about and emotionally deal with, and blind submission can make the feelings worse. Don’t allow the natural control you gain with the Dom position to risk your sub’s wellbeing.
.
Also rewards are just as important as punishments, even if not as much fun to administer.
