So I uploaded a picture of a single column around my own hand, showing the lead from the palm… and too hot? Hidden on the website? Are there actual people who look at these photos or is it an algorithm?

it appears the photo you are referring to has been approved and is on your profile 

photos are classified as of whether they are SFW or not - pictures deemed NSFW can only be viewed on the website by people with verified accounts (as it also ensures they cannot be accessed by anyone under 18)

if you feel a photo has been classified in error, then please raise a support ticket using 'help' at the bottom of the screen and someone can re-review it.
