Push notifications

I only get push notifications occasionally is there any reason for this?

I have found the email notifications work well, I use that which gives me a notification from my email of new messages etc. Just means my inbox is full of 'new message from blah'.

So another bug maybe, turning off notifications (for peace and quiet) hasn't worked, they're still coming though?
