so your first issue here is that his girlfriend wouldn't consent to him taking an additional relationship - I think they need to sort things between them, one way or another, before you think on this further.

Hes the only one you want? In first sight Id say he might agree as almost every man. But if hes not,smart enought to handle it properly you might be in danger.
