Obedience vs. Proactivity

I am a sub however I do not see the two as mutually exclusive. Obedience and proactively work together and the more you get to know a person the more you can be proactive and get things right anticipating preferences without the need for instruction.

A healthy mix of both. It's good if they can follow orders, but I also want them to show me that we are both invested, and that we both have an understanding of what each of us wants in the dynamic, and if we don't that we can discuss it, I want to ensure they're not following me blindly, but that they have actual reasoning in their faith in me as a Dom.
