Sex doesn't have to be part of kink. First and foremost.
If person A just wants to tie person B up and then go on with a day at home, and both people are okay with it. It's fine.
If A just wants to use toys on B and no "actual" sex happens, it's fine.
Sex can be defined a few ways. It depends on what you/your partner(s) define it as.
Kink doesn't always have to be about sex. (And vice versa.)
