Clarifications on roles in specific roleplay

Hello, I've been kinky for several years now but am only recently researching and discovering the language to describe my desires and roles.

Please help me clarify the roles in the following fairly standard teacher/student roleplay: Student enters Teacher's office to negotiate a better grade. Teacher refuses at first. Student asks if there's anything they can do, and begins seducing Teacher, which leads into Student stripping and instructing Teacher how to touch himself (JOI). I understand the student is taking on the dominant role in this scenario by giving the JOI, but how does this fit in with the teacher still having the ultimate authority to grant the grade change? I want to learn more about the power dynamics of this role reversal.
