i use Astroglide gel. it's water based but it's thick. i personally can't use a lot of different lubes as I have allergies to some ingredients, I recommend heading to your local sex store and ask for suggestions

Happy to add my two cents here. Lol. As someone who has enjoyed anal penetration for quite some time, I have managed some fairly large items before, both natural and household items. From travel toothbrush containers, to plunger handles with a condom. And some fairly LARGE men as well.

My favorite thing is to warm up with a warm water enema first, it helps keep everything clean and can help loosen up the muscles.
