thanks for the heads up. much appreciated. one question though, forgive me if I sound dumb. but I think you ought to be able to find a normal girl that secretly likes this type of activity whether it's BDSM/femdom or whatever & has never acted it out before but is curious like I am. I'm assuming though, that's a diamond in the rough?

I think - for example - if there's a lady who has fantasised about (say) whipping a guy and has never done it before then it'd be a disaster to have someone whose never been whipped being whipped by someone whose never held one before.  They're quite... well... dangerous

but that's a straw example

as I say above - one of the best things to do is to meet people in your local fetish community, just, well, there is a detachment between porn and reality.

This is absolutely the best advice. Local Munches are a great place to meet local people who may just share exactly the same fetishes that you do. They may also know of events where you could start to experience the “reality” and see if that is as much a turn on to you as the porn you have been watching.

Some areas have Discord Servers which support the community (for instance Reading has a very active community and very active Discord Server), the advantage of this is that again the people on there are local and so if you hit it off on line it can be easier to then meet at a Munch or event and hopefully hit it off irl as well.
