I think firstly if there's an "idea" that you're "drawn to" - what is it that appeals to you?  And is this built around a fantasy?

There's nothing wrong with building things around fantasies - but where so many wouldbe subs fall flat is that their fantasy just doesn't work in reality.

Take time to enrich your own knowledge - this is something you can do by reading the forums, partaking in the chat and otherwise doing research off your own back.  Consider attending munches or events - there's a good article on munches on this very website

Is it routine for a dom to ask that a sub purchase a training kit prior to meeting them. What is the cost. This is not a pro dom.

it's a scam.  The kit doesn't exist, nor does the shop you're buying from - it's just a window where you pass over *** and/or get your card details nicked
