From what I've observed, adult sites that take payments are often that the mercy of the payment processing companies legal teams: there's a strong desire to distance themselves from anything that could be construed as enabling illegal activities.

That may or may not be the case here. It's weird and annoying, but it may be one of the costs of Fet doing business.
