What is mummification bondage?

Mummification involves tight bondage that completely restricts a person’s movement. It typically involves materials that can easily cover the body from head to toe, such as plastic wrap, bandages, or vet wrap. The person in bondage is usually laid prone on their back, unable to stop the kinkster who wrapped them from touching them however they like — within agreed parameters and consent, of course.

How to practise mummification BDSM

Before you begin to be mummified – or mummify someone else – you need to be extremely prepared. Warning: this kink practice can be dangerous, so you must always process with caution.

OK, so, here's your essential BDSM mummification tool-kit:
 

• Your wrap
• Safety shears (essential)
• Towels or washcloths, to place between bony areas like knees
• A blanket for aftercare
• Water

First things first: if you're the person being mummified, use the bathroom before attempting to be wrapped up. You don’t want to be halfway through your mummification and need to be released for a pee! Then, get ready to be wrapped. Will you be naked or clothed? (Be aware: you will become very hot while in the mummification). Remove all jewelry and items from your pockets for comfort and safety.

If you're wrapping a partner, consider how you'll get them from the wrapping position to lying down. A bed is best for comfort and safety, and you may want to have a third person help with lifting, if needed.

If the person being wrapped needs to lower themselves, you can start by wrapping the top half first. To maintain balance, have them sit on the edge of the bed as you wrap down to their waist. They can then shuffle back to lie down, while you continue wrapping from the waist down (this allows movement and keeps the genitals accessible for play).

Once your partner is fully wrapped, you can play as you like — forcing orgasms or teasing them to the brink without letting them climax.
