Combine Reed and Florence in one project, and the result is Come Curious; two friends on a mission to revolutionise the sex space by sharing knowledge and firsthand experience about bodies, sex, relationships and sexual health. You can find them on their highly successful YouTube channel called Come Curious, but they also have a fantastic podcast called F**KS GIVEN. They can also be found doing their thing on Instagram, where they currently have 50,000+ followers to their name. Oh, and if that isn't enough and you want more Reed and more Florence in your life, you can find them both individually doing their sexy thing on Instagram too.
Slip those headphones on, lay back and let Girl on the Net whisper filthy stories into your ears. Girl on the Net is well known for her writing on her sex blog, but she has embarked on a new aural project to turn much of her archives into audio porn in the last few years. Her audio porn hub contains a vast array of her stories. Also, it features a variety of special guests sharing their own erotic stories that are guaranteed to get your ears burning and your libido firing on all cylinders. When we're all spending more time in front of a screen than ever before, Girl on the Net's audio porn allows you to step away from the computer monitor and enjoy listening to your porn rather than watching it.
Licensed clinical therapist, co-owner of Royal Fetish Films, BDSM educator, adult entertainer and Director are just some of the leading accolades you can list alongside Jet Setting Jasmine's name. She is also a vocal advocate and leader in her field when it comes to ethical pay and treatment for black porn performers and making films that centre black pleasure in the narrative. "We want to see our Black bodies lit well so that our full beauty is brought to film." Jasmine is also a mother to three children and, alongside her partner, has delivered many workshops and presentations around the subject of sex-positive parenting and sex work. They don't hide what they do from their children. In fact, they embrace it as an opportunity to teach and educate them and other parents on how to talk to their children about bodies, relationships and sex.
Dr Lister is a lecturer at Leeds Trinity University, where she teaches Creative and Professional Writing and researches into the history of human sexuality with a particular focus on sex workers. Kate also works closely with many organisations that provide help and support for sex workers, particularly in the Leeds area of the United Kingdom. However, you may well know her as the curator of Whores of Yore, an online research project that creates a digital archive to study historical sexuality. You can find it on Twitter @WhoresofYore, whose bio says, "A catalogue of jilts, cracks, nightwalkers, whores, she-friends, kind women & others of the linen-lifting tribe" Really, why would you not be following this account? But there's more because Dr Kate Lister is also the author of the hugely successful A Curious History of Sex, published in February 2020. I really can't recommend this book highly enough if you've any level of interest in human sexuality and the history surrounding it. And it's not just me who thinks that, given it has an impressive amount of 5-star reviews listed online.
There are pornographers, and then there is Erika Lust. Erika made her first film, an explicit short called The Good Girl, in 2004. It was released for free and notched up 2m downloads in eight weeks, and launched Erika's career in the world of ethical female porn. She has become a driving force within the feminist pornography industry, advocating for fair working pay and a safe working environment for sex workers and being vocal about paying for your porn. Her films focus on the female gaze and female pleasure. She now owns four different adult studios, runs an online adult magazine and a non-profit sex education site. Erika has also written several books and written and directed numerous award-winning pornographic movies. If anyone has changed the face of pornography in the last 15+ years and driven the conversation around ethical porn production in addition to pushing out adult movies catering to the female gaze, it's Erika Lust.
Did you know there is an actual Vagina Museum? The museum's idea started back in 2017 when founder Florence Schechter decided there should be a museum for gynaecological anatomy after discovering a Penis museum in Iceland. 2019 saw the Vagina Museum finally open at its first permanent venue. Clearly, the pandemic has meant that the museum has been closed for the last few months. Still, Florence continues to develop the project by offering online events and teaching about all things vagina related.
