Does www.findafemdom.com live up to its name? Is it just for finding female Dominants or is it more? Find out the answers to all these questions and maybe find a femdom? Let's find out!
Findafemdom.com looks very much like any other kinky dating site. The landing page looks like a porn site and focuses on getting you signed up. Once you're signed in at findafemdom.com, the home page is very grey with a few hints of colour.
Most of your navigation is done from the top bar, and you have your profile details down the left side. There are a lot of adverts. Some pretty extreme and they're all over the page. I found them quite invasive, but you do get used to them quite quickly.
Some of the ads are even in your message inbox and on first glance, look like real messages. Be careful and double-check you're responding to an actual message and not clicking on an advert. Findafemdom.com isn't going to win any awards for being pretty, but it is functional.
Sign up is quick and easy, just needing an email address, username and password. You can only pick man, woman or couple on sign up which isn't very useful if you don't identify as any of those. The site itself continues to be very binary so is probably not the site for you if you identify as LGBTQI.
I signed up twice, once as a woman and then as a man and had different experiences. When I signed up as a woman, I was encouraged to add a photo and fill in my profile with an offer of free messaging with one individual.
When I signed up as a man, I was taken directly to the upgrade page. The only way to get through to the site for free was to keep hitting the back button and then clicking on the findafemdom.com header - very annoying. I guess they're hoping you will sign up for one of the premium offers (you can get three days for £5.95) to save yourself the hassle.
Once you're signed up, all the pages load quickly, and the site is easy to navigate.
It's worth filling in your profile straight away, so people know who you are. There are lots of questions to answer, but none of them are actually kinky. They're much more generic. So the only way to find out about someone else's fetishes is to ask them or hope they've written about it in the 'about me' section.
There isn't any way to connect with the findafemdom.com community as a whole. In fact, there's very little way to connect with anyone without having a premium account. I did use the chat function, but it's a simple Instant messenger, so I could only chat 1on1 with people.
You need to upgrade to premium to send any messages, so there are profiles to browse on findafemdom.com, but it's hard to connect with anyone without paying for the pleasure.
You'd imagine there to be a lot of femdom users and male subs, but actually, there is a mix of all kinds of kinky people, and I didn't notice a particular leaning towards female dominants.
If you're signing up just for that, you might want to reconsider. However, there seems to be a good number of users. Are they genuine? Well, some seem to be. However, whatever search you do, you always get 500 users, no matter how you change the search parameters. And many of the profiles have visible model photos as their pictures and very little info in their profile. Be aware that all might not be quite what it seems!
A peek inside...
Although you can sign up and browse findafemdom.com for free, it's usability is severely limited unless you upgrade to a premium account. On a free findafemdom.com account, all I could do was browse profiles and send instant messages to people who are also online. If I wanted to post messages, I would have had to upgrade. One month membership costs £23.95 so it might be worth checking out the site for free first to see if there are enough people in your area or who meet your criteria to make it worth signing up.
There's a link to the findafemdom.com FAQ at the bottom of the page. There are lots of questions covering billing, blocking and all kinds of practical information for using the site. There's also a contact form in case you can't find the answer to your inquiry.
I'm not convinced you have a better chance of finding a femdom at findafemdom.com as it isn't the niche site it advertises itself to be. However, it is an easy to use site filled with kinky users though you need a premium account to get the most out of it. It could be worth checking out for free to see if any users catch your eye before committing to a premium account.
