What are peoples thoughts on what a Dom wears?
Posted
I wear my daily wear, boots to hat and everything in between. I am a dominant. Not by my clothing. By my nature. I do not change my clothing to become or unbecome. If there is a puppy drowning in a pool, I am getting wet, no matter what I am wearing.

No matter what I am wearing. Somehow I missed the last word

Are we talking about to work? Casually? To a fet club??

The first two are easy… whatever is appropriate. And probably look like anyone else. (I would say that being dominant first means you have to have self confidence, not arrogance, so that will likely bleed through but even so).

To a fet club… that has always been challenging. Aside from generic leather trousers it can be challenging. It can be anything though. I have worn military uniforms, a kilt, leather, latex (until I realised how allergic I am and dealt with what felt like sunburn for a while), pirate costume, vampiric, and all sorts of other things… depends of the dress code of where you go.

I wear whatever the hell i want whenever the hell i want to lol. It's not our job to cater to appearances, but to cater to a mindset and a dynamic. That being said some doms do like to dress the part and will choose either the "biker" look or the "dapper gentleman" look most commonly.

I am a biker. I have my riding gear, that is my daily. Even in the depth of the Canadian Winter, when my old pick up is in full time 4X4 mode and the killer blizzards are in full *** at -40 degrees. When I dress for formal occasions I have my kilt in my clan tartan. When I dress for branding or cutting it is cowboy hat, denims and boots. Domme is not (in my mind) anything at all to do with my clothing. It is a state of being. I do not attend clubs, bars, parties etc. I just am. To paraphrase a very famous Dom, 🎼🎶 I am what I am and that's all what I am.......🎶

As a sub I would say for me it's more about the confidence and the way a Dom stance is. The tone of his voice. He could be wearing a bin bag and still be very dominant

A Dom is a Dom. It is within them, A sub is a sub for exactly the same reason. A Dom cannot, by the truest definition of the word be a Dom, without a sub. The real Dom understands that dynamic. The power shift only occurs when the sub cedes control to the Dom

And as the lady above me suggests (as a side note, loving the view from, here) I could be wearing a bin bag. And when the sub gifts you that (pay heed to the spelling here) Dom:ain she in fact has coronated you as her king, her lord and her protector. It is totally about the dynamic, not at all what one wears to the disco

I have been told several times that Doms SHOULD wear certain clothing which is just b*llocks to me. I don’t see how leather or dressing like a Peaky Blinder is related.

Haha, wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable and confident. because THAT comfort and confidence will absolutely radiate nonverbally, more so than you can with words.
Iff hand i would say, try not to fall for a classic trope: black in black.
For me, most of the time its jeans and a white t-shirt.

But really and truly, if you feel the best in black on black, or red on black, well then go for it!

But be you.

If you are feeling expiramental, and want to try a new look, then do that.

Just whatever you do, do it for YOU, and not for what you think others expect you should do or be.

I am so very sorry for these multiple entries but I wear what I where when I wear it. And it is always utile. Always. All peoples everywhere, and I abhor blanket statements, should have the right and freedom to wear or not wear whatever the fuck they want. When longshanks made emthe wearing of tartans a death penalty offence it was My Clan lead, the Earl Graham of Mentieth, that had that law struck. Wear whatever you fuckin want ladies and gentlemen, it matters not if your highlander, cowboy, biker, baseball player, dancer, sissy cocksucker, viking or royal guardsman.

Why does it matter what a Dom wears. It’s not about the clothing or lack of

Please stop claiming you are Scottish.

I would say, wear what makes you feel connected to your dominant side. For me, it’s a pair boots and semi professional clothes and my bag of toys. I like to consider my partner based on what she wants and then make them beg for it a bit, hope this helps.

Adrenaline: My sincerest apologies, I don't think I have ever claimed to be "Scottish" if by that you mean born there. That is only a fond desire. But as to my heritage. I absolutely will claim highlander, Loch Lomond and all. The loch lies on the border of the traditional clan territory. My Nan, Annie AIRTH, (Airth castle, close to Stirling by the sea) was brought to Canada as a little one. As far as I know , but am often proved wrong, and I hope to be again, she was the final of her immediate family to immigrate here. I could not help but be swept into her childhood memories, as she made absolutely certain we knew exactly where we came from. Airth, cept of clan Graham, one of the clans truest to the throne of Scotland. Jon Graham, killed in battle near Stirling. He died in front of his long time childhood friend, sworn protector, Willm Wallace. Am I Scottish. Not by birth, again it is my highest wish but one never to be. Am I Scots. Through and through.

Be you a hundred miles or a hundred years or a hundred generations distant from your clansmen, you shall forever remain, a loyal son of Scotland

Not one single person in Scotland speaks of clans. Or the like.

I am certain the Earls of each do speak of their clan. And in Canada we do, we also speak of Scotland Rising, and most other countries where we have become part of a greater. It may or may not be a generational thing, that, I canna dispute. But I wear my tartan whenever I fuckin want to, I don't require it to be a formal occassion. It is to me, another item of clothing. As familiar as the salmon knife I wear, daily. I do know that the ladies born in Scotland and moved here for one reason or another certainly do lay claim to their clan. So please, again I mean no offense, when I stop and listen to Scotland the brave, or toss my caber, not very good at that, or lift a glass to the clansmen fallen for Scotland independence, (you may want to google Scotland Rising)
