Permanent cuffs

Was chatting to someone the other day who wears permanent wrist and ankle cuffs, and was wondering, is it a relatively rare thing in the scene? Personally, there is no real way I could get away with doing that (much that I'd LOVE to), what with work etc. But yeah, kudos to anyone who does it, but how do you deal with any awkard questions?

It depends what they wear. There are subtle jewelry you can wear that are representative of that but if it is full on leather. Well that is very visible and you open yourself up for questions. I wear my chastity keys openly and get questions about them. It is usually not an answer people are ready to hear.

My partner wore a locking collar for around 3 years, then swapped to hidden locked on anklets for about 4 years due to work. Now both my partners work shifts; and so they wear their collars when not in work, usually for a few days in a row. They are light metal ones which they can’t even feel once it reaches body temperature

Sorry, realised I never answered the second part of your question. Neither of them have ever had any awkward questions. Ive been with one of my partners for 10 years and many people have commented on her anklets saying they are pretty. No one has ever commented on her eternity style collar, except for one guy who was in the scene anyway and so immediately we struck up a conversation about kink. If you know you know, most people don’t. As other people have said “day collars” come in many forms, most of them very discrete. A necklace with a padlock, however tiny or large, is quite a common piece of jewellery now, especially for queer people.

I wear a day collar at all times, but my day collars are pretty subtle. Like a lock necklace from Tiffany’s or a silver necklace with an open circle. They are so subtle that I have never gotten questions about them.

I am like DenverKitten & have a Tiffany’s day collar I wear & then I wear anklets on both ankles that have heart locks on them. I typically get comments on how they like my anklets.
