If I cut the toes off latex stockings, will I ruin them?

I find it really hard not being able to have my feet breathe, but I dont want them to just split and be ruined.

Snag tights do a footless range. I have a few. I wonder if you could cut & seal the ends with clear nail polish like you would a repair

You use nail polish in a repair?

On stockings, I have, runs, holes, ladders etc stops them getting worse

I think it depends on how well you cut the latex, however I'd be tempted to fold over and glue the cut edge

Most latex stockings will be between 0.33mm and 0.40mm thickness. If they are if good quality and the cut is clean they should not be ruined.
I have cut the toes of 0.40mm stockings and tad no issues over years of wear.

We might recommend a rotary cutting tool (if you don't have one, we use fiskars rotary tool) for cutting latex. Virtually no chance for a jagged cut that might lead to ripping.

Because they are tight latex thigh highs and it gets super hot and sweaty in the feet!

I should imagine they would fray and start looking terrible pretty quick. But if worn in a shoe it may work. If I were you I’d try it out.

Not positive but you could probably use heat nail polish remover or glue to stop the fray

But you’ll find the answer to the key question.

Personally I would get two shop window dummy legs, cut the toe part off the stockings and put them on the legs. Then I’d use clear bathroom silicon mastic using a mastic gun on the frayed ends to prevent any further fraying. The mastic would be soft on the feet!

Wow - I just saw the price of those latex stockings - I wouldn’t use them to rob a bank.
