The velvet night churns with storms. Your lies and manner have been egregious, but he’s charming. You’d do anything to have him, and he’s been impressive…. Eyes like the weather; hair like ink. A fitted suit.

You missed the thunder in those eyes. You missed it all. The patent threat that only witches make is in and on him, as potent as his cologne.

As you place the flowers he gifts in your car, he takes your wrist against his lips.

“Forgive me,” he says in a cultured voice. “You are irresistible.”

The little gasp that shuffles past your lips is no surprise. You’re his. You’ve been his since the moment he bent his head over your hand and asked your name. You’ve screamed his name so many times it’s embroidered on your sheets.

He has no idea.

“Come home with me,” he says. “I have wine and we can….talk.”

The movement is automatic. You lurch with transient grace, unaware of your beauty, your reddened lips.

He unlocks a door and beckons you. You fuck through…. And breath forgets your lungs.

A dungeon.
