The Treasure Hunt is a way to learn the functions on the website and app. The clues tell you what part of the website, or what settings, you're supposed to check. If you understand the clue, you'll find an icon - which is a piece of the bigger puzzle featured in this particular treasure hunt.

Everyone who finishes the puzzle is earns points for each icon they find. To be eligible to win, there’s a bit more to it:

.

* giving away icons and then going to find them again. Giving away icons prompts more users to join the fun and learn about the website. Replacing the icons in your puzzle helps you learn the site by repetition. (If you randomly start seeing an update in views on your profile, this may explain why.)

* posting in the Treasure Hunt forum thread to help people understand the hints keeps one in the running. Normally one would think that being selfish and sneaky and not helping others would benefit oneself, but it actually does a disservice because it keeps others from getting motivated on how to use the site. So the more competition you lead into this game, the better your chances of winning.

If you're on the website and scroll to the very top of the Treasure Hunt topic, you'll see a list of numbers corresponding to the hints for the day. If you click a relevant number, you'll see the different versions of hints for that day.

I've found it helps to make and update a copy of the grid with notes on where I found what image, so that I'm not flailing too hard to replace icons.

On the Desktop and Mobile Desktop platforms the icon is a square shape and on the app, the icon is a circle shape..  The icon is part of a picture that is slowly revealed over the course of the treasure hunt as you collect each icon. The icon is overlapped on the screen; when you find an icon, tap on it and it will collect in your treasure chest and you will earn 30 points towards membership upgrade.

The treasure hunt is like a scavenger hunt and during the hunt an icon is hidden around the FET Universe each day and if you choose to play, you can hunt the icons and earn 30points towards membership.  It’s a great way to learn about how to do things on the site and meet others through sharing icons you find.  You can also win prizes if you choose to place clues and share icons with other members. You can find all the official rules in the OP.

You can hunt for the icons by just searching around FET or you can use the clues that members post in this Forum thread   If you are using the APP expand your comments and scroll backwards and you will find previous days clues.  The clues will hint you where to look in the FET Universe.  Decipher the clues and they will hint you to where the icon might be hiding.  Go for a gander around FET and if you are in the right place, you will find an icon that you can tap on and it will collect in your treasure chest and you will earn 30points.

If you are ever struggling to find the clues by expanding your comments, head over to the website via your phone browser sign on as an existing member using www.fetish.com and the same password/id you would use for the app and head to the same forum thread and you will find a quick link clue glossary at the top of the page, that will take you directly to the start of each day’s clues so far.

My mistake, thought I 'found' one but apparently I 'gifted' mine away?? Now I'm confused lol

That's great you found the first icon.  Its easy to gift one away by accident, it can happen when checking out members profiles without realizing and you press the gift an icon on that members profile but if you do gift one away,  you just need to work out which one has been gifted and then go back to the original place you found the icon and it will be waiting for you to recollect again.  At the moment it is easy to work out which one you are missing as only one icon has been released so far however as the game goes on it can be a little more confusing as the system will randomly gift one from those you have gifted so far.  So keeping a record of where you first found the icon and their grid placement will come in handy.  I just checked your profile and see you have now refound the icon which is great.  If you ever need help you are welcome to drop me a line 😊

That's great you found the first icon, well done.  Over the course of the next 24 days a new icon will be released each day at 3pm UK time.  If you find each icon you will earn 30 points per icon towards membership, so its really worth playing the game for the points alone.  It is also a great way to learn how find and do things in the FET community by playing the game.  You can also share the icons you find with members who have none collected so far, which is another way to get involved and meet fellow kinksters.  The icons that you collect over the course of the hunt form part of a picture, will be revealed in full by the end of the hunt if you collect all 24 icons.  There are further details in the OP which explain the rules of the game and how to be in the running to win the main prizes on offer.  I hope that helps, if not feel free to drop me a line. 😊
