Hello I am a 37yr male in Gainesville Florida & I am wanting to get into rope play but I don’t know where to start. I don’t have a partner and I can’t seem to find any classes or organized events in my area. Does anyone experience this and where should I be looking?

Look on FetLife to see if there is a rope studio in your area. Get yourself some shibari rope from Etsy.

If you don't have a rope studio or rope classes at a local dungeon, then look at Rory's Brainworks on YouTube, and the websites Rope365 and TheDuchy.

I signed up for some online Shibari seminars on Fetlife and really liked them. I highly recommend you start with self tying first. You should know how it feels before you tie someone else.

Also most seminars will require it but make sure you have safety scissors on hand in case something goes poorly.

I suggest searching on fetlife. Events and classes are posted. You won’t find most of these posts on the net as they are for fetlife postings and many are also private events.
