Writing smut/love scene's

Recommended Posts

I have been working on planning out my own short love making scene to scratch an itch in my brain, I have been able to add the vast bulk of text on a trip to Italy. Very tense and lonely holiday made me decide to look in to romance/smut written works. Most dudes are really missing out, writing and reading sex stories is a lot more engaging and a better outlet.

I am currently learning what types of male archetype are the most desired, in these books.
I have seen it is mostly fantasys are about strong well known and ***ed men typicaly very rich,
and in the more dark romance books it's stalking and ***ing of course very possessive language and dominance tactics.

What other motifs and themes should I consider when writing effective stories?
Power dynamics like the woman being the boss and the man working for her, or blue collar man and a rich woman, you can even try arranged marriage/ enemies. There are so many ways to go ☺️. Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes to write.
The “only one bed” trope is super clichéd, but also fun and silly and highly effective.
Great stories tend to touch on a few key psychological factors like beauty, wealth, power, competition, safe danger and romance.
So just riffing here, imagine the ceo of a major tech firm is deliberating between you and an impossibly sexy rival who has been making your life hell for months, so he sends you both away on a research trip where you each are to come up with a proposal to win a massive promotion… but when you get there, there’s a problem at the hotel reception desk… it seems there was a miscommunication, and every other room for a hundred miles has been booked out for the night.. oh no, what a dilemma, hmmm 😏

I see, so its like a power dynamic as the first person mentioned in the thread. It's a certain plot point that can drive the storyline, in favour of the character. The price is the powerful man and you have been given the opportunity to seduce him on a silver plater.

I am really interested in the enemies to lovers, that seems to be very unique and a good exercise in story writing.

☺️ I hope you give it a go. I’m down to read your short stories if you ever post them

Just let your imagination run wild and write the words down. I’m sure you will put them in order and they will come out very nicely and it will be a nice piece of work actually it’ll be a piece of art and word form.
Your cute staffperson, mid level but likeable gangster. Soon to be serial killer, travel guide , handsome elderly man with *** and a rimming fetish, the list goes on. Dont forget underground sex club pimp.
