Those aren't worth repeating. As for nicknames around buddies, for a time in Junior High, I was called "Brain", or "The Professor". I suspect, that one is pretty self-explanatory. In Highschool, a couple close friends dubbed me, "Dog Man", because I tended to take shortcuts through empty lots, or across open countryside. I didn't care---I would blaze my own trail, rather than go-around the long way. That seems to be my philosophy of life. In my mid-twenties, a few of us were joking-around about "street names". I came up with "Travis T", and it seemed to stick. Are we including "scene names"? In the 1990's, during the great Renaissance of BDSM, everyone was expected to come-up with a scene name. In public fetish venues, it was considered bad form, to use one's real name. Is that still true today? I chose "Obsidian"---mostly because it seemed to go along with my heritage. I got a lot of compliments, as well as other observations, as to why the name fit. Then, when I went pro, I was suddenly dubbed, "Lord Obsidian". That title and moniker have been special to me, ever since. A couple buddies, here in Texas, like to occasionally call me, "Hippy"---because of my insanely long hair. Of course, they know that I am no hippy. Still, I have never shared with them, the real reason that I keep my hair so long. Their brains would likely explode. With the people in this area, even "vanilla" seems to spicy! It honestly can be any nickname, scene or non scene.....thank you for sharing the history behind all of yours. I have to say I personally love the name Obsidian, not only because its a great name its a great rock too. I have many pieces of it and I think the reason I love them so much is the history each piece entails and the story they could tell if rocks could talk 😁🧚♀️
