Promise me

When I lay myself
Naked and unmasked
That you will never
Diminish me
Nor in my frailty bask

With your penetrating eyes

Promise me

When the moment comes
And all has passed
That you will always
Cherish 
The parts that were too vast

With your passion in your chest
And the vexation on your tongue

Promise me

When I fail at being good
You will see my endeavour
And lift me up
With love

Before I fall deep into never

Promise me

Forever
