The first ties in with something I've said before that men then don't know what they can offer.  Anything like status or security she already has - and with dick being of low value and abundant - he doesn't really know how to stand out and be someone she wants to be with

The second is sometimes tied with misogyny - whether intended or not and whether from the guy himself or ***r groups - that he might be seen as 'below' her which has gone against things he knows

The third is about control and it's more difficult to control someone who is financially independent, it's more difficult for some to create a structure where she is dependent on him making it more difficult for her to leave. This could also ward anyone off who is insecure in themselves.

Well in a sociological/psychological view... The most unhappy female demographic are "high-earning professional career women", especially those who forego family & kids to pursue their careers. They usually end up in their mid thirties with no husband, no kids & very unhappy, but with a fat bank account lol However, the happiest female demographic are stay at home moms who may or may not work, but who are married & have lots of family time. Sources & references can be provided if you want. These studies are fascinating & needless to say the feminist community was in an uproar over them lol😂 traditional family units are where it's at👍

I'm not married or got any kids and I'm nearly 40!!!!! And guess what!!!? I'M HAPPY lol I have a decent job where I get my pay check every month, I can look after myself even though I have my Sir he doesn't keep me so to speak. I earn my own *** and spend it how I like but again I say I'm happy as Larry. I agree with @Leisa it's a very sexist comment you've made

Also, women tend to not respect men who earn less than them. So high earning professional career women are actually at a disadvantage in terms of finding a husband. They'll want a man who makes equal to or more than them. So the more they make, the shallower the pool of potential mates becomes😋

Please provide a ***r reviewed study which backs up you claims.
For anything you can find, I'll promise I can find one which contradicts it.
Happiness is subjective and changeable from day to day but, you have at least two females commenting in this thread alone that are of this age grp, have no ***, have a career and don't rely on anyone else financially to be 'happy'.

"The Spirit Level" by Richard Wilkinson & Kate Pickett is an excellent read regarding earnings, psychological impact and over perception on quality of life, but the approach is more of a global view and doesn't give an answer specifically to all those points (such as contentment related to whether a person has offspring or not and gender issues). In any case, it's relatively enlightening, to others it just presents evidence to what some already knew but weren't able to substantiate... Probably most effective as a preventative measure against rash sweeping staments where a broader overview hasn't been considered.
