Thebean Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Hello everyone. Just a quick hi, and a question of two; does anyone know of any clubs of munches in the Oxford or Bicester area? Any details would be great. Has anyone had issues with their job because they're on this site? Thanks The Bean
ey**** Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 although exceptions apply - most workplaces would neither find out nor care. there are exclusions, as I say, but really only if you've a job with ***, or the police.
Thebean Posted November 20, 2018 Author Posted November 20, 2018 Thank you; I raised a "hypothetical" with the boss, and she seemed to think it would be fine. Could be awkward if students find out though....
Mi**** Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 There is a munch on the last Saturday of the month at the Jolly Farmers, Paradise St, Oxford from 5pm to 9pm. The next one is the 24th November. A quick search didnt come up with any events but if you attend the munch the people there would know better than me what is going on in the area
Thebean Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 Perfect, thank you. I have heard good things about the Jolly Farmers.

ey**** Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 well, one was a police officer.... and another was a primary school teacher... another worked in a hospital. The hospital one in particular was slightly different as it was a guy who had done porn in the past. He was recognised and the practice felt that any form of sexual lawsuit against him/them this would be used against him/them making it expensive and/or more likely for them to lose. There are many other examples. Sometimes, the thing is, just because something is "illegal" and just because you'd have a case - doesn't mean you want to go to court, at great expense, to argue about your sex life. Many HAVE done this over the years. Which is why we can probably enjoy a bit more these days. But, some of these died penniless. But then, also consider as I say - in both the UK and US there are people both sides of the house who want to make more restrictions.
Thebean Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Thank you. My bosses are aware that I may be on these sites, and don't seem to have a problem. Its if the students (uni) find out. As with all life, hope of the best, plan for the worst.
ey**** Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 absolutely - consider contingency and keep things in mind. One thing of note... chances are, if they do stumble upon you online (or at a munch etc) they're there for the same reason - it could be mutually awkward, but there's always solutions.

Thebean Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 For reasons, I "came out" to my boss. It's a risk, but eyemblacksheep is right. If they are there, it'll be awkward, but a solution will be found.
