Do you know what GOR is? Have you tried it?

Tal. I've read many of the books (interesting sci-fi but Norman needs an editor to tone down the dull, all-women-are-natural-slaves monoligues). Aspects of it have entered play, such as positions and ritual, but I cannot claim to live it.

Most of the Gor folks I've met are white trash who think they're smarter than they really are.

Others have called me Horean for a while, but I say it's not my kink

Is it similar to training a female to be an Odalisque? Which is basically a female slave solely for the purpose of pleasing men.

i’ve used parts of it to varying degree’s of success but it depends on implementation as to wether it works well or not

Greetings Sire. No.
Although, isn’t this where nadu comes from?

I talked to a Master (Gorean) last year... until he called me a brat for mentioning that "I can't be someone's submissive [...] if we aren't in a dynamic". We tried remaining friends, but was not possible. I have no interest in being a Kajira.

Tbh when I first read your question I thought you meant Vore never knew about gor so I have learned something new thank you for that

I've read the books and have seen the slave poses demonstrated.

Gorean, is a lifestyle based on a series of novels by John Norman, written in the early 50’s. It’s a Master/slave “kajira” dynamic. Gorean started in the early 60’, then High Protocol, and in 1969/70 “BDSM”as we know it today came along.

The first novel was 1966

A lot of the novels didn't really gain popularity until the 70s and 80s, and the whole concept of lifestylers around this was kinda repackaged in the 90s via the internet and online chat rooms

A lot of people know BDSM in a lot of different ways, there is no collective way we all do it - the whole concept of BDSM was an umbrella term to encompass all sorts of different alternative lifestyles, and itself was coined in 1992.

The Gor novels weren't representative or based on anything that was really kinda how-things-were in kink even if it did influence some dynamics and ideas.

A lot of the fetish communities of the 70s and 80s were very different to even the 90s.

It's probably a good time to read/listen to some interviews with the leathermen of the 70s to see how different things were.

Leathermen were before gor, mid 40’s I believe, and I’m aware the novels are just sci-fi, and based on Norman’s imagination. But he also wrote imaganitive sex, in 74, about D/s relationships.

Heard of it, have a sub friend trained in it as well. Have had in depth conversations about it. Def not for me.

I think today when you say the Gorean culture you are talking about a Master/slave relationship that is not just in the home but out in the real world too. I happen to live this lifestyle and my slave is mine no matter where we are. We have different protocols for each situation but we are dedicated to each other. There is no reason why if both participants are agreed that you can’t live this way all of the time . If you researched the meaning of Gorean slave today it is based on the novels but it is not the same thing , it’s more of a descriptive term. But that is my opinion so grain of salt and all that.

I was a kajira for about a year or so with my 1st "master."  This relationship was abusive in every way. Now I am NOT saying that all Gorean relationships are like this, not by a LONG shot, but mine was. He ***d the 2 main "rules" for kajirae: 1. Absolute obedience and 2. Exquisite Beauty.  I could tell you some horror stories, again, I know some Gorean couples who are wonderful.

What else would you like to know?

@MrJim, I will have to disagree with you there. Just the definition of Master/slave does NOT mean only in private, it's a 24/7, 365 days a year relationship, as you say you and your slave live out. The Gorean subculture is based upon a set of books written by John Norman (The Chronicles of Gor).  Many people have chosen to live their lives based on the M/s lifestyle described in the books.

Kajirae is NOT just a descriptive terms to the many communities who follow the tenets of the books. I was a kajira myself.

Gor is just 50 Shades for hicks

Ok, Gentleman, I have to vehemently disagree with you. The couples I know are nowhere near "white trash" and the books were written WAY BEFORE 50 shades was even conceived. Your comments say more about you than about Gor.
